NSW man charged with 1970s child sex acts

A 69-year-old man has been charged with raping and assaulting two children in his care in NSW in the 1970s.
The man was arrested at his Armidale home on Wednesday following an almost five-year investigation and charged with rape and three counts of indecent assault for offences allegedly committed between 1976 and 1979.
He was bail refused to face Armidale Court on Thursday.
