NSW man arrested with shotgun in hotel

A man is expected to face court after shutting himself in a Newcastle hotel room with a sawn-off shotgun.
Police evacuated the Tudor Street hotel and after contacting the occupants of the room two men exited.
A third man, a 24-year-old from Jesmond, remained inside and was later arrested.

He is expected to face Newcastle Local Court on Tuesday charged with possessing a shortened firearm and detaining for advantage.
