NSW man armed with meat cleaver charged

A man has been charged after allegedly holding and threatening a female staff member at a Central Coast hospital with a meat cleaver.
The man, who attended Wyong Public Hospital for treatment just before 5.30pm on Friday, detained and threatened the women with the meat cleaver before threatening another staff member who tried to help, police allege.
He was disarmed by emergency services and police and was charged with a string of offences including using an offensive weapon. The man was refused bail to appear at Wyong Local Court on Saturday.
