NSW man airlifted after chainsaw accident

A man has serious lacerations to his face after an accident with a chainsaw on a farm in the New England region of NSW.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to a property on the Oxley Highway near Walcha on Monday morning to treat the 27-year-old.

The man has serious cuts to his eye and cheek and was flown to the John Hunter Hosptial in Newcastle, a NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said.
