NSW man, 81, charged over air rifle attack

An 81-year-old man has been charged with the wounding of a Sydney truck driver, shot in the face with an air rifle.
Police say the 30-year-old victim was left with a pellet lodged in his forehead after being shot at behind the wheel of his heavy vehicle at Wattle Grove on Wednesday last week.
Paramedics treated him at the scene and he later had the slug removed in hospital.

Police said on Thursday the elderly man had been charged with discharging a firearm and reckless wounding.
He will face Liverpool Local Court on January 21.
