NSW lifesavers given longer leases

Surf lifesaving clubs in NSW will get cheap rent and longer leases under new agreements.

Changes to the way crown land is leased to Surf Life Saving NSW will see minimum leases extended to 20 years and the minimum rent rate charged to clubs without other sources of income.

"For the first time in our history it will provide affordable and secure tenure for all of our surf lifesaving clubs on crown land across the state," Surf Life Saving NSW president Tony Haven said.
