NORTHERN NSW FLOODS: SO FAR

DEATHS:

* Two women, 36 and 64, swept away by floodwaters. A 46-year-old man died in Murwillumbah from heart attack when paramedics couldn't reach him.

* 45-year-old man discovered dead at South Murwillumbah caravan park, although cause of death still unconfirmed.

EVACUATION:

2200 still under orders to leave homes:

FEDERAL/STATE GOVT HELP:

* NSW appointed a "Recovery Coordinator", Euan Ferguson, to manage flood recovery efforts on North Coast.

* National Disaster Relief Assistance - the federal government via state allowing those who've lost possessions to recover them.
