NSW floods by the numbers

NORTHERN NSW FLOODS: SO FAR

DEATHS:

* Two women, 36 and 64, swept away by floodwaters. A 46-year-old man died in Murwillumbah from heart attack when paramedics couldn't reach him.

* 45-year-old man discovered dead at South Murwillumbah caravan park, although cause of death still unconfirmed.

EVACUATION:

2200 still under orders to leave homes:

* Kyogle - 200

* Billinudgel - 500

* Banora Point - 1500

ALL CLEAR:

Residents are ok to return home in:

* Murwillumbah, South Murwillumbah, Kingscliff, Tweed Heads, Lismore, Ocean Shores, New Brighton, Cabbage Tree Island, Condong.

WITHOUT POWER:

* Lismore - 300

* Murwillumbah - 40

CALLS FOR HELP:

* 2662 in total to the NSW SES since Thursday.

* 486 flood rescues.

RESCUE TEAMS:

* 200 SES members in the field, supported by RFS volunteers and members of Fire and Rescue, NSW Ambulance, NSW Police and local government

FEDERAL/STATE GOVT HELP:

* NSW appointed a "Recovery Coordinator", Euan Ferguson, to manage flood recovery efforts on North Coast.

* National Disaster Relief Assistance - the federal government via state allowing those who've lost possessions to recover them.

* Federal government offering low-interest loans.
