NSW detective 'assaulted' colleague

A NSW police officer has been charged with assaulting one of her colleagues while off duty in Coffs Harbour.

Police say the detective senior constable, who is attached to a specialist command, was involved in an altercation at the licensed premises on Saturday night.

She was charged with remaining in the vicinity of a licensed premises, two counts of resisting arrest and one of assaulting a police officer, and will appear in the local court on March 27.

The detective's work status is under review, police say in a statement.
