NRL player Shaun Kenny-Dowall will face a three-day court hearing later this month as he challenges allegations he assaulted and stalked his former partner and destroyed her phone.

The 27-year-old wasn't required to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday, where the hearing was set down to run from February 24-26.

During an appearance at Waverley Local Court last year he pleaded not guilty to 11 charges relating to his ex, Jessica Peris, with court papers alleging the domestic violence assaults occurred in October 2014 and again last February, March, April and June.

Kenny-Dowall, a member of the Roosters' 2013 NRL title-winning team, missed three club games in the 2015 season after being charged and didn't attend his first court matter because he had been admitted to a Sydney hospital.

He was on Wednesday named in the Sydney Roosters squad for this weekend's NRL Auckland Nines.
