Newcastle unit shot up, men questioned

Gunshots have been fired into a Newcastle home but two men questioned over the incident have been released without charge.
Residents of a unit block in Wallsend called police after they heard multiple shots about 11pm on Friday and police spoke with one resident who pointed out damage to the walls of his home.
Two men, aged 30 and 33, from an adjoining unit were questioned at Waratah Police Station but released pending further inquiries.

Officers found what they say are several "items of interest" in the driveway.
