A teenage Sydney terror suspect faces another day in custody without being charged after the Australian Federal Police (AFP) was granted a fresh court order.

The 18-year-old, who was arrested in connection with investigations into alleged Parramatta shooter Farhad Khalil Mohammad Jabar, 15, can be held until Thursday under the order.

A Sydney court granted the 68-hour extension on Monday afternoon, following a 100-hour order granted last week.

It takes the extended detention to the seven-day maximum allowed under the legislation.

The teen was arrested during pre-dawn raids in Wentworthville in Sydney's west last Wednesday.
