Motorists warned of severe delays on M7 in Sydney's west after fiery truck crash

Motorists in Sydney's west have been warned to expect delays this morning after a fiery truck crash on the M7 motorway.

Police and emergency services were alerted at 1am this morning to a crash between two north-bound trucks near the Walgrove Road off-ramp at Eastern Creek.

A fire broke out in one of the trucks after the crash, with one driver taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say motorists can expect significant delays for those heading north on the M7 while several lanes are closed while debris is cleaned from the road.

Commuters are urged to avoid the area or delay travel if possible.

Investigations into the crash are underway.
