Man dead after NSW school bus smash

A man is dead after his car collided with a school bus in NSW's Lake Macquarie region.
The man was travelling alone when his vehicle smashed into the bus carrying about 30 school children at Cooranbong about 3.40pm on Tuesday.
None of the children were injured.

They are being moved onto another bus to be taken from the scene.
The dead man has not yet been identified.
Diversions are in place with Freemans Drive closed in both directions.
His death follows that of a motorcyclist who suffered critical injuries in a crash in country NSW.
The 18-year-old was airlifted to Canberra Hospital after colliding with the rear of a car near Goulburn on Sunday evening, but died in hospital on Monday.
