Migaloo the famous white whale spotted off NSW Coast

Australia’s most well-known albino humpback whale has been sighted multiple times off the NSW coast.

Video of Migaloo in Port Stephens was shared earlier today by Lisa Skelton, who was on-board a whale cruise.

The snow-white whale can be seen flapping his tail in the crystal-blue surrounds.

Earlier today, the albino whale was spotted gliding through the clear waters of Fingal Bay.

Pictures were shared by Tamboi Queen Cruises on social media this morning.

“We could see Migaloo coming to the surface each time as the water around him went completely aqua,” the Facebook post read.

Migaloo is expected to migrate through Gold Coast waters on either Sunday or Monday, according to Sea World Whale Watch.

Migaloo is regarded as “Australia’s most well-known white whale”, according to the White Whale Research Centre.

First sighted in 2011, Migaloo was considered the only known all-white whale in the world.

The celebrated mammal has a website, twitter account, and Facebook page dedicated to reporting sightings.

Last year, another white whale was spotted off the Gold Coast Seaway.

Whale watchers dubbed the lookalike mammal “Son of Migaloo” for his likeness to the older white whale.
