MH17 victims home 'in weeks'

All 38 Australians who died when Malaysian Airlines flight 17 was downed in Eastern Ukraine have been identified by Dutch authorities and will be coming home in a few weeks.

Prime Minister Tony Abbott and Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said in a joint statement on Saturday their determination to have the perpetrators of the atrocity brought to justice was undiminished.

Operation Bring Them Home will conclude in the coming weeks when the final remains of the victims are reunited with their families.

MH17 went down in July in rebellion-torn eastern Ukraine - believed hit by a surface-to-air missile - killing all 298 aboard, including 38 Australians.
