Man suffers fractured skull in NSW brawl

A man who was attacked with a brick and a bottle during a wild brawl in Tamworth has been airlifted to a Sydney hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

NSW Police say officers were called Green Street residence about 1.30am on Sunday after the brawl erupted.

"Upon arrival police saw a man suffering serious head and facial injuries after being struck in the head with a brick and a bottle," a police spokesperson said in a statement.

The 32-year-old victim was taken to Tamworth hospital and then transferred to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.

He was subsequently flown to Sydney where he remains in a critical but stable condition with a fractured skull.

Separately, three men were treated for injuries following a brawl at a bar in Sydney's southwest.

Police say that brawl erupted at a Hume Highway premises in Cabramatta in the early hours of Sunday.

A 28-year-old man was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics and taken to Liverpool Hospital with a minor head injury.

Two other men were also treated at the scene for minor injuries.
