Meerkat baby boom at Taronga Zoo

Visitors to Sydney's Taronga Zoo may be treated to a baby meerkat sighting as the two newest additions to the Meerkat Manor enclosure start to explore their surroundings.

The meerkat pups were born on August 18 but have just started venturing outside the nest box.

It's the second litter born to mating pair Nairobi and Maputo this year in what the zoo has described as a "Meerkat baby boom".
