Medich jury 'unable to reach verdict'

Jurors in the murder trial of Sydney property tycoon Ron Medich have been directed to keep deliberating after they said they couldn't reach a unanimous verdict.

Supreme Court justice Geoffrey Bellew said on Monday that jurors could often agree if given more time to consider the issues, after the jury said in a note it could not come to a unanimous decision on either of the two charges against Medich.

The jury has been deliberating for two weeks.

Medich, 68, has pleaded not guilty to murdering his former business partner Michael McGurk in September 2009, and intimidating his widow In August 2010.
