Traveller from Singapore infected with measles visited Sydney coffee shop, supermarket

A person infected with measles travelled on a number of flights and trains in Sydney on Sunday, NSW Health has warned.

The person flew from Singapore to Sydney on Singapore Airlines flight SQ221, arriving at Sydney International Airport at 6.15am on April 12.

They then travelled on Sydney's T8 train line to Central and then on the T1 line to St Leonards by 7.30am.

Later that afternoon they visited the Only Coffee Project in Crows Nest from 2.30pm-2.45pm and Woolworths Crows Nest from 3pm-4pm.

People who visited those locations at those times are being warned to monitor for symptoms, including fever, runny nose, sore eyes and cough, for 18 days and seek medical care if symptoms develop.

Anyone who is not immune to measles because they have not been infected, are unvaccinated or have a weakened immune system are at particular risk.
