Man steals jackhammer in western Sydney

A man wielding a knife has stolen a jackhammer from a western Sydney hardware store.

The 19-year-old entered the Seven Hills store on Saturday afternoon and allegedly threatened staff with a knife before fleeing with a jackhammer.

He was arrested by police at a Rooty Hill home and charged with armed robbery, to appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.
