Man stabbed in neck and body
A man is in a critical condition after being stabbed in the neck and upper body near Wollongong.
Police say the 32-year-old man was stabbed after he went to a home at Albion Park Rail, south of Wollongong, on Wednesday afternoon.
At the house a 41-year-old man allegedly armed himself with a knife and a garden pitch fork.
A fight broke out at an adjacent vacant block and the younger man was stabbed numerous times in the neck and torso.
He was treated by paramedics before being flown to St George Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The 41-year-old man was arrested and was taken to hospital with a minor wound to his head, where he remains under police guard.
Forensic specialists are examining the scene and detectives are speaking with a number of witnesses.
