Man sought over armed robbery in Sydney

A service station attendant has been held up at gunpoint in Sydney's inner west by a masked robber who then fled with cash.

A 36-year-old man was working at the business on Parramatta Road in Haberfield at about 9.30pm on Thursday when the masked man entered and pointed a firearm at him.

After demanding money the robber ran from the shop with an amount of cash, but police officers and a police dog failed to find him.

Police are searching for a man about 180cm tall, of solid build and wearing a black hooded jumper and black pants.
