Man savagely bashed in Qld roadside ambush

A man has allegedly been bashed to the brink of death after being ambushed by three men and dragged from a car in Brisbane's south.

The 33-year-old was forced from his car and stabbed in the lower torso and punched and kicked while on the ground after driving to Coopers Plains in the early hours of Saturday.

"The victim received life-threatening internal injuries and facial injuries as a result of this incident," police say.

He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital after escaping and flagging down a passing driver

The three alleged attackers - aged 20, 22 and 23 - have been charged with wounding, assault causing grievous bodily harm, and assault occasioning bodily harm and were due to face the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
