Man's image released in child assault case

A computer-generated image will be released of a man wanted in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl on the NSW Central Coast more than three years ago.

The girl was in Summerland Point Reserve late one afternoon in January, 2011, when a man dragged her into a public toilet and sexually assaulted her.

The man left the scene and the girl fled to a nearby property, but the matter was not reported to police at the time.

Detectives from State Crime Command's Child Abuse Squad were made aware of the incident earlier this year, but say the exact date of the attack is unknown.

A COMFIT image of the man believed to be responsible for the attack is to be released on Wednesday.

He is described as being aged in his twenties, standing between 170-180cm tall, of thin build, with tanned skin and near-shoulder length brown, wavy hair.
