Man robs NSW servo, leaves prints in snow

Forensic experts have examined footprints left in the snow by a shotgun-wielding bandit who fled after holding up a service station in the NSW Blue Mountains.

The man walked into the Blackheath service station at about 6.30pm on Friday and threatened a console operator with his double barrelled weapon before grabbing cash and fleeing.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police later discovered footprints in the snow near where the offender fled.
