Man nabbed in Vic after airport meth find

A man has been referred to the federal police after Customs officers found almost two and a half litres of liquid methamphetamine hidden inside shampoo and cognac bottles.

The 21-year-old Hong Kong national was stopped at Melbourne Airport on Thursday when officers noticed the liquid in the bottle was not shampoo.

They then found two bottles of cognac with a similar substance.

Initial testing indicated a positive result for methamphetamine, Customs said in a statement.
