Man loses finger in stabbing attack on NSW Central Coast

A has man has lost a finger in a stabbing attack at a home at Lake Macquarie in NSW.

Police said they were called to a home on Oxford Street in Gateshead at about 1.30pm yesterday.

They found a 25-year-old man at the property who had suffered several lacerations to his arms and legs and a severed finger.

Paramedics treated him at the scene before transporting him to John Hunter Hospital,

Police have not released a description of a suspect but have asked anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
