Man leads police on Sydney rooftop chase

A man wielding a crowbar has led police on an inner Sydney rooftop chase following a fire in an underground car park.
Emergency services were called to the blaze below a unit complex in Surry Hills about 3am on Thursday and found a camper trailer and car well alight.
The fire was extinguished within a couple of hours.

Some residents were evacuated but none were injured and no units were damaged.
Police were later called to reports of a break and enter at a rooftop premises in the area.
"Surry Hills police attended and began chasing a man across rooftops when he attempted to flee before he was arrested while allegedly armed with a crowbar," police said in a statement.
The man is yet to be charged.
