Man injured in Sydney home invasion
A man has been assaulted and a unit ransacked during a home invasion in the inner Sydney suburb of Redfern.
Police say a man and a woman forced their way into the unit on Morehead Street at about 7pm on Saturday and confronted the occupants, a 43-year-old man and a 44-year-old man.
The 43-year-old was assaulted and sustained minor lacerations to his face.
The man and woman demanded money from the men and ransacked the home, before forcing the 44-year-old man to leave with them.
He was able to run away from the pair on Young Street.
The 43-year-old man was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
