Man seriously injured in NSW assault

A man has suffered a head injury in an assault in NSW's New England region.
The 57-year-old was assaulted at a business just outside Wee Waa on Tuesday afternoon, Westpac Rescue Helicopter personnel said.
He had serious head injuries and was airlifted from Narrabri Hospital to Newcastle's John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
