Two men charged for Sydney CBD assault
Two men will face court after a fight in Sydney's CBD which left a 26-year-old man lying unconscious in the street.
The victim is now in a stable condition in St Vincent's Hospital after police investigating reports of a fight and found him unconscious just before 4am on Sunday.
"It could have been much worse and initially we thought he wasn't going to make it but luckily he's improved dramatically," Inspector Stewart Leggat said.
Three men were arrested at the scene. One, aged 30, was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and another 30-year-old was charged with common assault. Both have been granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on August 26.
The third man has been released, with no charges laid.
