Man hit by car on major Sydney road

A man has been hit by a car on a busy major road in north-west Sydney.
The 44-year-old was taken to Westmead hospital in a critical but stable condition after he was hit on Victoria Road in West Ryde just after 9pm on Tuesday, police said.
The driver, a 52-year-old woman, was taken to Ryde hospital for mandatory testing.
