MAN HARON MONIS' FIVE SHOTS
Man Haron Monis discharged a total of five shot-gun cartridges at four different times during the 16-hour Lindt Cafe siege, which unfolded on December 15. He had an extra 21 shot-gun cartridges in his pockets and two more rounds in his gun's three-round magazine.
* First shot: Monis fires his gun following the escape of some hostages, striking the area above the door of the Lindt Cafe entry to the foyer off Martin Place.
* Second shot (2.14am): Monis executes Tori Johnson, shooting him in the back of the head. A police marksman witnesses the shooting.
* Third, fourth and fifth shots: Monis fires at the tactical response team, which enters the cafe immediately after the shot that killed Johnson. One shot is fired towards a window on Phillip Street and another at the officers entering from the main door on the corner of Martin Place and Phillip Street.
