Man found in Sydney yard with stab wound

A man is in a serious condition after being found in the yard of a home in Sydney's east with a stab wound.

A crime scene has been set up at Fitzgerald Avenue in Maroubra, with police receiving a call just before 4am on Wednesday that a man had been wounded.

The man in his 20s is in a serious condition in St Vincent's hospital.
