Man's body found trapped under ride-on lawn mower on NSW property
A man has died after becoming trapped under a ride-on lawn mower in the Blue Mountains yesterday.
The body of the 74-year-old was found on a rural property at Mount Irvine about 7pm.
Police had been notified that the man had failed to return home after leaving to carry out lawn mowing work about 1.30pm.
"Officers from the Blue Mountains Local Area Command went to the isolated location on Mount Irvine Road and found the man's body trapped underneath a ride-on lawn mower," NSW Police said in a statement.
Last night's wild storms made access to the area dangerous.
Police were forced to put a crime scene guard at the site overnight and return this morning.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
