Motorcyclist dies in western Sydney crash

A motorcyclist is dead after he was involved in a crash with a car and a truck in western Sydney.

Emergency services were called to James Ruse Drive at Rosehill following reports of a crash just after 5pm on Monday.

Police were told a truck, car and motorcycle were involved in a collision.

The rider suffered serious injuries and was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.

The crash closed the major arterial road in both directions.

The driver of the truck and the car were taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

It was the second crash to claim the life of a motorcyclist in just over 24 hours in NSW after a 31-year-old rider fatally collided with a 4WD north of Newcastle just after noon on Sunday.
