Man critical after Sydney stabbing

An argument between two flatmates in Sydney's inner west has left one man in a critical condition with stab wounds to his face, neck and chest.

Emergency services were called to a unit on The Boulevard, Strathfield, just before 8pm.

Police say two flatmates were arguing in the kitchen when one of the men stabbed the other several times with a knife before running from the unit.

A 35-year-old man was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The alleged attacker, a 26-year-old Filipino male, fled scene and is yet to be found.

In another similar incident, police were called to Mt Pritchard in Sydney's southwest just after 2am on Thursday following reports of a stabbing.

An argument between two people at a unit on Elizabeth Drive led to one man being stabbed, police said.

He has non life-threatening injuries.
