Man charged with NSW day care assault

A man is due to face a NSW court charged with indecently assaulting a toddler at a child care centre a decade ago.

The 31-year-old man was arrested in Ariah Park, in the state's Riverina region, last Friday after police launched an investigation in March.

Police will allege in court that he indecently assaulted the then two-year-old girl while she was attending day care at the home of his relative between 2008 and 2009.

The man, who has already appeared in Wagga Wagga Local Court, is due to face the Temora Local Court on Friday charged with aggravated indecent assault of a victim under 16.
