Man charged over Sydney hit-and-run

Police have charged a man with dangerous driving causing death after a 73-year-old man was hit by a car and killed in Sydney's southwest last week.

Zac Andreou was allegedly fatally struck by a white van, which failed to stop, as he stood outside his Condell Park house on December 28.

He died on the way to hospital.

Police on Thursday seized a van from a business in Greenacre and arrested a 49-year-old man who has been charged with failing to stop and assist, dangerous driving causing death and negligent driving causing death.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court on January 25.
