Man charged over random Sydney bashing

A man has been charged following a seemingly random bashing in Sydney's eastern suburbs that left a man in hospital with a fractured skull.
A 34-year-old man allegedly approached and began punching and kicking the 55-year-old victim on a Darlinghurst street on Thursday afternoon.
The younger man was arrested later on Thursday and will appear at Central Local Court on Friday.

The victim remains in hospital in a critical condition.
