Man charged over NSW pedestrian death

A man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death after his car struck struck and killed a woman and injured another as they crossed a road on the NSW Central coast.

Police say a 33-year-old woman died at the scene on The Scenic Highway at Terrigal following Saturday evening's crash.

A 32-year-old woman, who is pregnant, was taken to Gosford Hospital with pelvic injuries and is understood to be in a stable condition.

A 22-year-old man was arrested and has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning death, and not keep left of dividing line.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Gosford Local Court on August 30.
