Man charged with murder after park brawl

A man has been charged with murder after a brawl in a NSW park.

A 26-year-old man was arrested at a western Sydney address and charged with murder after the fight at Freemans Reach, north-west of Sydney, on Saturday night.

Another 26-year-old man died after suffering multiple injuries in the fight in Macquarie Park.

Police and paramedics were called to the park shortly before 7pm but the injured man died at the scene, despite the efforts of ambulance officers.

His accused murderer, who was arrested at St Marys, will appear in the Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.

A 19-year-old man who was charged with affray has been granted conditional bail and is due to appear in the Windsor Local Court on March 19.
