Sydney driver faces court over car into Bexley house

A 25-year-old man will front court today after he allegedly crashed his car through the front of a home in Sydney's south.

The driver lost control of his Ford Falcon sedan and crashed into another car before ploughing into the Bexley residence just after 6pm last night.

Four residents at the home on Mimosa Street were left shaken but escaped injury.

The driver allegedly fled the scene following the crash but was later arrested on St Georges Parade.

A statement from NSW Police said numerous items were seized from his car which will undergo forensic examination.

He was treated for injuries at St George Hospital before being taken to St George Police Station where he was charged with seven offences, including driving while disqualified, driving dangerously and aggravated break, enter and steal.
