Man charged after NSW attack

A man has been charged with attempted murder and stalking after a woman was found unconscious and with serious head injuries in her car in NSW's central west.
The 54-year-old woman was last seen walking to her vehicle in Bathurst on Thursday evening, and is believed to have been assaulted between finishing work at about 6pm and 10.45pm.
After being found in the car, the woman was airlifted to hospital.

A 56-year-old man was arrested on Friday night in connection with the attack, and is facing charges of attempted murder, stalking and assault.
He has been refused bail and is due to appear at Bathurst Local Court on Saturday.
