Man charged after fatal Bathurst crash

A man's been charged with a number of driving offences following a fatal car crash in central-west NSW on Sunday.

The 21-year-old was travelling on the Mitchell Highway in Vittoria when he collided with a Holden Commodore heading in the opposite direction.

A 56-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Commodore, was pronounced dead at the scene with the driver treated for minor injuries at Orange Base Hospital.

The man was refused bail and will appear in Orange Local Court on Tuesday.
