A man has been charged over a crash that killed an 18-year-old woman after he allegedly led police on a chase near Dubbo in NSW.

The 24-year-old allegedly failed to stop when he was flagged down by police on the Mitchell Highway at Maryvale last month.

Police say he drove away, lost control of the car and crashed into a pole.

His 18-year-old female passenger died at the scene.

He has been refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday to face four charges including aggravated dangerous driving occasioning death and not stopping for a police pursuit (Sky's Law).

Meanwhile, three people have been taken to hospital following a police pursuit in Sydney's west on Tuesday.

Police say they stopped a car at Hebersham about 6.15pm, but as officers approached the Holden Commodore it was allegedly driven away.

A pursuit was initiated but terminated due to safety concerns before the car collided with another vehicle, whose driver was taken to hospital.

Two men from the Commodore, aged 29 and 46, remain under police guard at Westmead Hospital.

All three suffered non-life threatening injuries.
