Man caught under P-plater's car in NSW

A P-plater has been charged with high-range drink-driving after a man became trapped under a car in Sydney's north west.

Police say a 26-year-old man jumped onto the bonnet of a vehicle before he slid off and became stuck at Galston about 1am Saturday.

The man was treated for a broken leg and taken to Westmead hospital in a stable condition.

The 23-year-old driver was breath-tested and allegedly returning a result of 0.152.

He has been charged with numerous offences, including aggravated dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and is due to appear at Hornsby Local Court on June 8.
