Man armed with machete charged in NSW

A 21-year-old NSW man has been charged with robbery after allegedly threatening a restaurant worker with a machete at Lake Macquarie.
Police say an armed man entered a restaurant on the Pacific Highway at Belmont after 10pm on Wednesday when it had just closed.
He demanded money from an employee before running away.

Soon after, a man went to Belmont Police Station where he was charged and refused bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court on Thursday.
