KEY DATES FOR SYDNEY'S WESTCONNEX MOTORWAY PROJECT:
* King Georges Road interchange construction began in July 2015 and was completed in early 2017
* M4 widening started in 2015 and is expected to open in next two months

* M4 East construction started in March 2016 and is due to open in 2019
* New M5 construction began in July 2016, with an expected completion date in early 2020
* M4-M5 link construction set to start in 2018, with completion by 2023
* No construction start date listed for Sydney Gateway, but the NSW government says it's committed to providing the project by 2023.
