Kayaker dies in rugged NSW terrain
AAP
Rugged terrain has prevented police from reaching a kayaker who has died on the NSW north coast.
Officers from the Police Rescue Squad will be winched into a section of Nymboida River, northwest of Coffs Harbour, on Wednesday.
They will try to retrieve the body of a man aged in his 60s and believed to be from Coffs Coast, who died in an accident on Tuesday.

Two other kayakers who were in the man's group reached safety late on Tuesday evening.
Police say it is impossible to get foot or vehicle access to the accident site, as surrounding terrain is rugged and the river is running swiftly with rapids and waterfalls.
